Regional Partnership for Food Waste Solutions Online Kick-Off Event
The Iowa Waste Reduction Center (IWRC) at the University of Northern Iowa is launching a new program that aims to connect regional key food waste stakeholders to broaden options that divert food waste while utilizing EPA’s Food Recovery Hierarchy.

The goal of the Regional Partnership for Food Waste Solutions is to decrease the amount of food waste discarded in landfills by providing direct, on-site assistance and training for key food waste stakeholders within Grant and Crawford Counties in Wisconsin and Clayton and Allamakee Counties in Iowa.

This food waste focused event will cover EPA's Food Recovery Hierarchy, the issues with food waste, and well as strategies and solutions that can be expanded when forging beneficial partnerships in the region.
