The scoring rubric listed is titled FY20. Is this the correct one to use this year?
Kristine Bullock
25:18
Yes, the rubric is the same.

Can one school apply for multiple programs?
Mary Trent
50:10
Yes. Nancy!
Nancy Voggesser
50:16
Thank you!
Mary Trent
50:51
Even one educator can apply to multiple programs.
Nancy Voggesser
51:46
Good to know. I have shared programs with a variety of teachers — hoping we turn in multiple applications
Eric Peterson
54:21
Hey Mary, remind me...with 3 elementary buildings in my district, if a grade level across the entire district wanted to apply for a specific program, does each building need to submit an application? ( ex. 3rd grade teams in each building?)
Nancy Voggesser
54:34
If an application is created with an educator who ends up leaving after the award, and the replacing teacher wants to do the program — is that possible? Or do we give up the program?
Sarah Derry - SC STEM Region Manager
55:17
Nancy, awards belong to the building, not the individual educator.
Nancy Voggesser
55:23
Thank you
Cathy Stakey
56:05
If I have teachers at K, 1, and 2 who each want to apply for the Storytime STEM Packs because the books connect with their curriculum, can they each apply and each potentially receive a STEM pack with different books?
Mary Trent
58:43
Each educator will receive 3 kits each.
Sarah Derry - SC STEM Region Manager
58:48
Hi Cathy, in that situation, we recommend you submit a single application with all three educators on the application. Each educator on the award gets 3 kits.
Sarah Derry - SC STEM Region Manager
58:54
(thanks Mary!)

I’m answering essays first in a GoogleDoc! LOL!
Micaela Borer
01:02:12
Are there different options for each grade level? For example, if both PK teachers would apply for the Storyline STEM kits (either on one application or separate), would there be 2 different options for the 3 kits so that we can get 6 different kits and share?
Sarah Derry - SC STEM Region Manager
01:03:27
Hi Micaela, you can see all of the choices in the green bar on the left side of the Storytime STEM Packs one-pager: https://iowastem.org/sites/default/files/2021-22%20Scale-Up%20Packet_10.pdf
Kristine Bullock (SE STEM Manager)
01:04:09
Michaela - Yes, the educators could pick different kit options to maximize the kits you have.
Micaela Borer
01:04:29
Ok, thank you both!
Deb Frazee
01:05:10

01:05:48
Someone in the daily operation of your program.. Probably Supt or Princiupal
Kristine Bullock (SE STEM Manager)
01:06:05
Deadlines: March 5 to submit; March for admin 9; March 11 for educators listed in the application

Hi Angela, to answer your questions about the student numbers questions, use your best guess about your student participants. For example, the upcoming class (this year’s 6th graders if you’re a 7th grade teacher), or past participants for similar programming if you’re an out of school provider.
